JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Security Installation and Repair Technician
LOCATION: St. Louis Park, MN
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
OVERVIEW
The Security Installation & Repair Lead Technician is responsible for the tasks associated with the design, installation, upgrade and repair of home and commercial security systems. Technicians will use communication, technical knowledge, problem solving and sales skills to deliver the highest level of customer service. Technicians will coach less-experienced technicians, provide troubleshooting support on the job and assist with routing, training, escalations, etc. as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform new system installations, upgrades and takeovers
  • Perform new system installations, upgrades and takeovers
  • Perform system replacements, repairs and disconnects
  • Perform signal verification, system testing and troubleshooting
  • Assist customer with downloads and device configurations as needed
  • Educate and train customer on system operation and functionality
  • Complete installation checklists and capture customer signatures as required
  • Replenish and reconcile truck stock inventory, materials, tools and equipment
  • Return defective and excess equipment
  • Self-monitor performance through scorecard reports
  • Acknowledge, implement, and enforce all Lloyd Security, Inc. and Partner policies and procedures.
  • Positively represent Lloyd Security, Inc. and Partners to customers with consistent professionalism, adhering to dress code
  • Submit accurate and timely documentation to your immediate supervisor.
  • Ability to work required on-call duty to handle after hour service issues.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to be physically fit and climb, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to remain focused and effectively multi-task within a fast-paced & dynamic environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics to successfully problem solve under pressure
  • Motivated team player with positive attitude and desire to learn and deliver high-quality work
  • Strong customer service skills and genuine desire to interact with customers; professional appearance
  • PLT License and/or Technical school training is a preferred, but not required.

Hourly, based on experience
