JOB TITLE: General Manager
LOCATION: St. Louis Park, MN
DEPARTMENT: General Management
REPORTS TO: President/CEO
SUPERVISES: Operations Manager, Sales Manager, Finance Manager
OVERVIEW
The General Manager will be responsible to oversee the efficiency and flow of the company. They will be in communication with all areas of the company: Executive, Sales, Finance, Operations and Customer Service. The General Manager also is responsible to deliver weekly reports on efficiency, performance to the Leadership Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsibility for all aspects of business operations includes overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure success of the security company by maintaining financial budgets, ensuring adherence of policies and procedures, mentoring staff, and working with customers to ensure a high quality of service.
- Responsibility for making all business management decisions, which includes hiring or terminating employees, approving expenditures, overseeing security procedures, operational efficiency and sales and marketing efforts for the entire business.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related discipline is required for this position
- Previous security management experience is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge in the full Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to remain focused and effectively multi-task within a fast-paced & dynamic environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics to successfully problem solve under pressure
- Motivated team player with positive attitude and desire to learn and deliver high-quality work
- Strong customer service skills and genuine desire to interact with customers; professional appearance
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check, drug test & reference check
COMPENSATION
Salary and performance bonus to commiserate directly with experience and knowledge of the electronic security and technology business.
